Ferrari Red carpet

Poche settimane fa il Museo Enzo Ferrari di Modena ha inaugurato “Red carpet”, un omaggio al cinema che ha visto apparire in ruoli più o meno importanti le auto del cavallino. Inaugurata in occasione del compleanno di Enzo Ferrari, la mostra celebra il mondo del cinema e della Tv e le Ferrari che in più di un’occasione ne sono state protagoniste. Esposti diversi modelli usati in scena e apparsi sia sul grande che sul piccolo schermo: la 308 GTS di Magnum P.I., la Testarossa di Miami Vice, le 512 S di La 24 ore di Le Mans, e la 375 America usata da Sofia Loren nel film Il ragazzo sul delfino.

Numerosi i divi cinematografici e non solo, che la nella storia hanno dimostrato grande passione per il simbolo giallo nero. Paul Newman che ha corso gare importanti come la 24 ore di Daytona con una 365 GTB4, Steve McQueen, proprietario di numerose Ferrari oggi molto ricercate dai collezionisti. Tra le attrici, Marilyn Monroe amava le Ferrari e la 250 GT Cabriolet Pininfarina di colore bianco, esposta nella mostra è stata una di quelle che più ha utilizzato. Tra le piccole licenze che una mostra può permettersi, la F430 che impersonava Schumacher in Cars, coi suoi occhioni da cartoon, e la Thomassima, una Ferrari all’americana fatta dallo stilista Tom Mead su meccanica 250 GT, quale esempio delle tante Ferrari camuffate per le scene, come nei film Tre Passi nel delirio di Fellini, Destino sull’asfalto e Un Maggiolino tutto matto. Senza dimenticare, naturalmente, le Ferrari protagoniste in pista in film come Grand Prix, La 24 ore di Le Mans e recentemente Rush.

Il Museo Enzo Ferrari a Modena

Il MEF sorge in via Paolo Ferrari 85, proprio a fianco dell’edificio dei primi del ‘900 in cui si trova la casa natale e l’officina di carpenteria meccanica fondata dal padre Alfredo, che lavorava per le vicine ferrovie. Il nuovo grande padiglione crea un luogo emozionante, che sfrutta al meglio i limiti imposti dall’isolato in cui si trovava il vecchio complesso e che permette di far rivivere i quasi 100 anni di storia, progresso, corse, automobili straordinarie e passione. Realizzata tra il 2009 e il 2012 con un investimento di 18 milioni di euro, l’avveniristica struttura giallo Ferrari a forma di cofano/squalo, è stata progettata dallo Studio Future Systems di Londra, di cui è stato titolare l’Architetto Jan Kaplicky fino al 2009, anno della sua scomparsa; il progetto di interior design e le finiture, sono quindi passati al co-progettista Architetto Andrea Morgante.

I visitatori dopo essere stati accolti nell’atrio vetrato, entrano nella enorme navicella spaziale completamente bianca e priva di pilastri e assistono ad un emozionante filmato proiettato a 360° attorno a loro. Fotogrammi capaci di strappare anche qualche lacrima scivolano sul grande schermo, grazie ai 19 proiettori che svelano le gesta del Cavallino. Un emozionante parallelo musicale tra la vita e i successi di Enzo Ferrari e quelli di Luciano Pavarotti, anch’egli modenese. La magica storia dei 90 anni di vita di Enzo Ferrari: dal bambino che all’inizio del secolo scorso scopre le corse, al pilota, dall’animatore della Scuderia al Costruttore ed ai suoi trionfi.

L’area museale, dotata anche di un centro documentazione con archivio, è stata realizzata in base a principi di bioclimatica. Su pedane poste a diverse altezze le auto del cavallino vengono periodicamente sostituite, mostrando le numerose sfaccettature del design che il marchio ha saputo negli anni offrire.

La casa natale e l’officina

A fianco del Museo Ferrari si trova lo stabile della casa natale e officina. Si accede alla casa natale proprio dalla porta con la scala di marmo rosa, che spesso Enzo Ferrari ricordava. La casa, di cui sono visitabili ancora alcune stanze, svela lo spirito di un’epoca e la straordinaria visione di un uomo che partendo da una piccola officina ha saputo conquistare il mondo. L’edificio, oggi perfettamente restaurato, accoglie nell’ex-officina il Museo dei Motori Ferrari, con alcuni incredibili pezzi esposti.

 

Il Museo Ferrari di Maranello

Aperto dal lontano 1990, il Museo Ferrari di Maranello ha saputo negli anni giungere ad completo rinnovamento creando un solida realtà, che oggi vanta più di 200.000 visitatori all’anno provenienti da tutto il mondo.

Nel giugno del 2012, l’allora Presidente Ferrari Luca Cordero di Montezemolo ha inaugurato la nuova grande ala del Museo Ferrari di Maranello. 1000 mq di nuovi spazi espositivi, con un’aula dedicata all’attività formativa per i giovani delle scuole, simulatori F1 semiprofessionali e un’apposita area destinata ad eventi, convention, pranzi e cene private in esclusiva.

The Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena

The MEF is located in Modena in via Paolo Ferrari 85, right at the side of the building from the early ‘ 900 in which the birthplace and the carpentry workshop founded by Alfredo, father of Enzo, who worked for the nearby railroad.

The new great Hall creates an exciting place, which takes full advantage of the limits imposed by the block where the old complex was and which makes it possible to revive the nearly 100-year history, progress, racing, cars, and passion.

Built between 2009 and 2012 with an investment of 18 million euros, the futuristic structure trunk/shark-shaped yellow Ferrari, was designed by the Studio Future Systems in London, direct by the architect Jan Kaplicky until 2009, the year of his death; the interior design and finishes, are then passed to the co-designer Architect Andrea Morgante.

Visitors after being greeted in the lobby window, enter the huge spaceship completely white and free of pillars and attend an exciting footage screened at 360° around them. Frames capable of snatching even a few tears slipping on the big screen, thanks to 19 projectors that reveal the exploits of Cavallino. An exciting musical parallel between life and the accomplishments of Enzo Ferrari and Luciano Pavarotti, also from Modena. The magical story of Enzo Ferrari’s 90 years of life: the child who at the beginning of the last century reveals his racing, the driver, than the animator of the Scuderia, to the constructor and its triumphs.

The Museum, which also has a documentation centre with stock, was performed on the basis of principles of bioarchitecture. On platforms placed at different heights Ferraris are periodically replaced, showing the many facets of design that the brand has been able over the years to offer.

 

The native house and the mechanical workshop

Alongside the Ferrari Museum is the building of the birthplace and the mechanical workshop. You access the birthplace right from the door with the pink marble staircase, which often Enzo Ferrari remembered.

The House, of which it is possible to visit again some rooms, reveals the spirit of an era and the extraordinary vision of a man who from a small workshop has conquered the world. The building, now perfectly restored, houses in the former mechanical workshop a Museum of Ferrari engines, with some amazing exhibits.

 

The Ferrari Museum in Maranello

Open since 1990, the Ferrari Museum in Maranello has been able over the years to achieve complete renewal by creating a solid reality, which today boasts more than 200,000 visitors a year from all over the world.

In June 2012, Ferrari President Luca Cordero di Montezemolo has inaugurated the new wing of the Ferrari Museum in Maranello. 1000 sqm of new exhibition spaces, with a classroom dedicated to training activities for young people in schools, F1semiprofessionali simulators and a special area dedicated to events, conventions, private lunches and dinners.
